Types of Luxury Vinyl
Sheet Vinyl Floors
Sheet vinyl floors come in large, continuous, flexible sheets. They are water-impervious, durable, can be easily adjusted, are insulating, and easy to install.
Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT)
VCT is made up of polyvinyl chloride, plasticizers, and its primary raw ingredient is limestone – a filler material that is naturally abundant. It is most often used for high traffic commercial flooring solutions in public spaces like retail stores, schools, healthcare, and other commercial environments.
VCT is durable and easy to maintain at a lower cost than other alternatives. One of the benefits of using VCT is that it can take the abuse that comes with high foot traffic and even when it becomes scuffed, or dingy, it responds well to restoration efforts.
Marmoleum
Marmoleum is made from 97% natural raw materials and contains 43% recycled content, making it the most sustainable flooring option. The raw materials used in the Marmoleum production include linseed oil, wood flour, and jute – and it doesn’t contain any phthalates, plasticisers, or mineral oil.
Marmoleum flooring is anti-static with proven bacteriostatic properties that inhibit the growth of microorganisms – making it easy to keep free of dust and an ideal choice for those who suffer from asthma and/or allergies. It provides excellent durability and is easy to clean and maintain.
